Snip!
It was a most ordinary saturday had it not been CNY eve. Me & Tempest had already finished watching "Down With Love" yesterday night (by Renee Zellweger & Ewan McGregor - a pleasant comedy with atmospheric settings likewise The Stepford Wives -- I like it!); There wasn't really anything to keep us entertained till 6pm. Then he suddenly turned to me, " I have no choice but to allow you to do it.."As he spoke, he turned to pick up a little blue comb and instructed me to fetch the scissors from the dining table. I couldn't believe it! He really allowed me to play with his hair. Well, even though it's only a trim, it was a big step he took.

I happily took the equipment and dextrously snipped off the curly strands off his sideburns. Hee.. his worries were not unfounded. My first snip was naturally the worst as I stood at the starting point of the learning curve. It was still a neat chop, just that it was a tad too short at the top side of the sideburns before it met the bulk of the hair above the "ear-line". As a result, there was a stark "line" as if a razor blade just mercilessly ran through the sideburn on his right.
He was upset. "Oh NO!" Then he took over & try to rescue whatever he could. Gee.. I didn't think it was too bad what. Anyway, he relinquished control of the scissors after attempting to make it look vaguely better. "Now, you gotta make the left side the same as the right!", he grunted.
With my five-minute experience, the left side did not suffer the harsh outcome that its right counterpart did. And I skilfully shaved off the two "tails" that were growing behind the neck.
"Good! You could be a hairdresser now!"
