UNSPOKEN
He probably stared frequently at the back which never turned.He accidentally knocked into the hand that never responded.
He might have coincidentally stepped closer to the body who unconsciouslymoved away.
He often looked intently at the eyes which rarely wanted to meet his.
He probably wanted to talk to the unhinged self who continued to wallow in silence.
I sensed boredom.
I sensed distraction.
I sensed neglect.
But I sensed not the annoyance. I sensed not the disappointment.
At least, he bothered to say goodnight.

It was an end that never had a beginning. Not official, at any rate.
A first that affected me much, no doubt.
